In 2016 We did the J McLaughlin clothing boutique in Scottsdale. We subcontracted the job for Neo Construction. This job entailed doing some processes that we had never done before. The fabric we installed under the awnings was sewed together end to end. So we had to install it in one piece. It came out great
Another of part of the project that was new were the panels hanging from the ceiling. The designer originally wanted to hang wood panels from the ceiling. They were going to be very heavy and expensive. So they decided that we would covering Styrofoam panels and put wood grain wall covering on them and hang them from the ceiling. I have to say we never wallpapered Styrofoam panels before.
An interesting part of this project was the fake window.
Here is the piece of fabric we had to glue to the wall. It was about 3 widths of fabric wide. This fabric had no backing on it so you have to use a minimal amount of paste so it doesn't come through the threads of the fabric
Here it is up on the wall.
I can't believe they had to drill holes in the newly installed fabric.
We painted the storefront metal and the French Door. J McLaughlin requires the door to be painted with "Fine Paints of Europe". There was a company in Phoenix that carried the products. I went and bought a gallon. It cost $100 for the gallon. I can tell you this. I have worked with far better looking paints and it was certainly not worth the cost.
Above is the fake window. Looks good.
