Clearwater Hills Residence
In 2012 we repainted a residence in Clearwater Hills in
Paradise Valley. The home had just been purchased and was in
perfect shape although it was dated. The ceilings were all
acoustic ceilings and there was quite a bit of wallpaper in
the rooms.
We stripped the acoustics and floated the ceilings smooth in
the Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen and Hall.
All the walls and ceilings and trim were repainted. We used
Benjamin Moore Non VOC paints throughout. Except for the
primer. It was Sherwin-Williams Adhesion primer. All the
trim in the home was done in the old days and was an oil
based paint. The primer was to assure adhesion.
All the design work was done by Naomi Siegler of Siegler Designs.
The Kitchen and hall had wallpaper that we had to remove and float the walls smooth.
Ceiling/Trim Color - Benjamin Moore - Distant Gray
Walls/Hall Color:
Sherwin-Williams Adhesion Primer went on all the moldings and doors.
We used Benjamin Moore Advance waterborne Alkyd. It is a water base paint that has the properties of an oil based paint. It flows like an oil and is as durable too. If you are looking for a very rich finish, Advance Satin is for you.
I have to admit, we do need to make a bit of a mess when we work. This particular home was vacant.
All the doors were sprayed with an HVLP system.
The Master Bedroom had built-in cabinets and we sprayed them in place.
We also sprayed the built-in cabinets in the den.
